Having a cat is an awesome experience and hence feeding it should not just be a delight but should be done right. In this sense, the state of food can be very important in accomplishing this task. The choice between wet cat food or dry cat food can be daunting, however, some simple rules can be followed to decide on which is better for your particular situation.
Wet cat food by definition will be bulky, heavy and take a lot of space. Also, because it is wet, it is more prone to degradation quicker. For most modern cities, available storage is an issue in most homes and hence if you go the way of wet cat food, you will be forced to buy in little quantities, which invariably will be costlier than buying in bulk. Also, if bulk quantities are purchased, they can easily get spoil and become useless. Economics too can be a factor as wet cat food will be sold on a per weight or per volume basis and since the amount of water can be variable, it is easy to get less real cat food per gram or ounce bought.
On the other hand, this is not the case with dry cat food. It will be light and less bulky hence, and easier to both transport and store. It will also be less prone to degradation and hence, can be bought and stored in large quantities without having to bother about spoilage. This will greatly enhance the economics of buying dry cat food over wet cat food for your pet. You will also be confident that you are getting value for your buck for every ounce of dry cat food you buy. In conclusion, dry cat food is far better than wet cat food for the reasons outlined.
