It think it can turn into a real problem, but only if you don´t provide a place for them to scratch. scratching comes natural to cats and thinking of what they need can save you tons of headaches…

Great advice, I think people sometimes forget that when you have a cat or any pet, you will have to work for them, keep them clean and their spaces clean, also do whatever it is necessary for them so that they can actually have a comfortable living. Cats need to adapt to house living but also humans need to always keep in mind that a cat is an animal and you cannot expect them to behave as humans.

I agree with daphne b, cats can be a lot like children. After watching the video I really was amazed, I never imagined cats released stress this way and as the article mentions, cats love their own smell, I think that cats are amazingly ingenious and resourceful, they was ways to really make themselves comfortable and make the environment their own, we as caretakers of cats need to have their feelings in mind if we are going to start a fight or create an stressful environment for them even if we don´t want to create it, we can be selfish sometimes.

OOooh, that was such a nice article, I love my kitty and I just love it when I can do more things for him and see him loving it! Toys are a must, I think the more toys and different areas you get for your car to play the happier he or she will be. buying them things is a great way to enjoy them and have your kitty really happy.

My kitty just started spraying, I mostly think he does it because he sees other cats near my bedroom, he only sprays my room, is this normal? I mean, do they choose a spot or a room or they do it all around the house if I clean the spot in room?

I think mine bites because she wants to play also, I did the shoe lase thing and it worked like a charm! I also noticed that she does it out of affection, when she snuggles in my lap she tends to give me little bites on my hand, pretty cool article, you learn something about your pet every day

I have a very lazy cat and she loves sleeping by my side while I watch TV, she usually is quiet at night, but sometimes she comes and scratches on my bed or walks on me to call my attention cause she is awake in the middle of the night. I just keep sleeping.

This has really helped me understand why my cat attacks my rug like that. I don´t know if anyone here has this problem as well and I would really like to know somebody else´s experience, but my cat really kneads a lot on that one carpet on my bedroom.

I have this problem with my cat, I don´t mind during the day and I try to include her in what I´m doing, even if I´m watching TV I try to take her with me and get her to play with a toy but at night she usually begins around 1 or 2 in the morning, she is really making me lose sleep. I will make my best to ignore her because I already checked her up and she is fine, has clean water, clean litter box, food and she can get in and out of the bedroom, I guess she wants to play when I´m asleep.
